TOAW - 19th century equipment database
--------------------------------------

(from Rugged Defense) The XIXth century engine was created by Chuck Kotraba and Iaki Harrizabalagatar in order to fill the obvious lack of detail of the COW database in the period, so they established a list of different types of musket and gun equipment, as the XIX century was a period of enormous qualitative change in those weapons created new type of cavalry units, providing them the "armor" capabilities of the game system to represent the advantage that cavalry held over infantry in the early XIX century. Aditionally, RhinoBones modified some icons of the units.

More info and a list of scenarios designed with the XIXth century engine on:

Fascinated by, but up till now unable to enjoy these scenarios to the fullest, I dug into this using the Bio-Ed and managed to convert it for use with TOAW v3.1.0.9

The included unit icons had to be given their appropriate prefix to comply with TOAW.

The COW scenarios which were designed exclusively for use with the COW 19th century equipment database can now be played after converting them to TOAW.
Alternatively these files can be used to design new scenarios set in pre-WW 1 times.

-To convert a COW scenario designed to be played with the 19th century engine, open it in the editor and subsequently save.

-Make a copy of the 'TOAW - 19th century equipment database' folder, rename BOTH the folder AND the '.eqp' file inside it to the specific scenario's '.sce' file.

-Put the entire folder in your TOAW graphics folder.

-Open the scenario again in the editor to check. You may get a notification first that you're using the wrong .eqp database. Saving the scenario again should solve this.
